My name is Jenny Ferns – Jenny to my friends.I am a Baby Boomer!  Raised 3 children –now grown. I grew up in England and emigrated to Canada when I married my childhood sweetheart – Pat. I have made my home here for the past 40 or so years. I now live in Victoria, British Columbia. The gentle part of Canada with hardly any winter and a gardener’s paradise.My professional career has been varied. I was a science teacher, then an assistant to my husband Pat, in his TV and film company (now Ferns Productions), fundraiser for endangered species (Wildlife Preservation Trust) a stay-home mother, then returned to school to become a professional Psychologist for many years, now a professional Internet Marketer and Coach with Carbon Copy Pro.You may wonder why I moved from a recognized profession to the CCPro.?My professional career made a big difference to other lives emotionally, but  I was paid by the hour. So if I chose not to work I  did not get paid. The situation for many people.  I wasn’t building wealth. When I looked at the  prospect of retirement in the future the economics were of gloom and doom.I also hated the commute and being stuck in boxlike  windowless offices and not building wealth.!!Sound familiar? Let me tell you the story of my worst commute!When I lived in the Rocky Mountains of Canada  I commuted from my small town  to the big city to work. My commute was 1.5 hours in the morning ad 1.5 hours in the evening. 3 hours in the car every day- (think of the gas!) Familiar? How about this?  The roads were treacherous in winter. I drove though white-out blizzards, black ice on the roads, near misses with collisions with Elk on the road and minus 30 degree weather! Dangereous! Winter in Canada in the mountains! Every day on the road I risked my life to help others solve their problems. I had to solve mine!I did eventually take charge, worked for myself as a Psychologist. Quit the commute. Yes!! I looked for other ways to build  additional income and residual income,  and like so many people turned to MLM, Multilevel Marketing. I worked with a company for 2.5 years. ( I  love the products so I will keep the name private) The company was struggling with legal and marketing issues and using the internet was not allowed. So the old fashioned model was encouraged- talk to family and friends. This was painfully slow and did not make the income promised. Quite honestly I think that model of building huge downlines that then crumble, recruit, recruit for ever, and puny checks is outdated. I Quit. I Found Carbon Copy Pro – and am happy!No more commuting, comfortable home office, close to my garden, my dog, and  husband who also works from home.  I also gave up winter and snow  in that part of Canada. Moved to the west coast. I have freedom to travel  for fun,  and my business keeps working, thanks to the internet,  even when I am not!!!See the pictures and videos of my garden and dog and home office on facebook.  Great lifestyle. Walk the dogs on the beach in the middle of the week – No Commute!! Travel anywhere in the world whenever I choose. Make money in my sleep!!! A baby boomer career change requires more wisdom now than at any other time. Workplace and personal change may have occurred without complete approval. Some may have found genuine fulfillment managing a regular and highly approved voluntary task providing help to the needy. Many are still searching within an environment of beautiful gardens, expensive cars and large boats.

An important season has arrived where quality time must be taken to organize a suitable agenda that could go for another worklife.

The workforce may have previously provided the traditional source of income as well as the necessary social interaction and skill development. Numerous experiences would have molded and made every life. What could be still needing serious attention is the baby boomer career change providing essential life fulfillment.

A fortunate few may have been able to recognize and develop skills and talent from a young age and work with these throughout years in the workforce with jobs or careers that provided fulfillment, contentment, satisfaction, pleasure, peace as well as the cash. Choice of the right partner and minimal debt shouldn’t prevent a baby boomer career change..

Many others will now be aware what should or should not have been done. Change in boomer occupation can bring about numerous changes other than a different income source.

This is a season where distressing passed events must be cast from all conversation, banned from the mind and used only as a reminder of what to stay away from, ignore and reject especially during the early stages of taking on the new directions and focus.

Many will now be aware of that particular gift, talent or skill providing pleasure. The choice is yours but the passion and desire must be strong enough to seek out the most suitable reliable business avenues with processes that will supply the new income and provide that much sought boomer occupation modification. The gift may be traditional or unique but will require its own specific management to provide an income that can grow. You are the right one to make it special.

Others may choose to retrain or undertake their boomer job change in the business arena based on new content with an unknown future. This boldness is excellent but requires health and wisdom.

Experiences gained and remembered whilst in the traditional workforce or even snippets from a friendly conversation remembered on affiliate marketing from a happy neighbor can direct these decisions. Take the effort and make the time to discover what must be learnt. Fear must be rejected and not accepted as a false warning to cancel progress.

Successful boomer job change begins with making the right choice. The baby boomer doing the voluntary work with the needy has made a choice that will provide either pleasure and fulfillment or frustration and irritation.

The worker who has made the right boomer occuupation modification is delighted when the client has learnt how to rediscover and market a gift, develop internet marketing skills, write about a major learning experience or even successfully complete a simple but necessary computing course at the local institute. The one who is still seaching may be requiring a short course from the old client.

Baby boomer career change has introduced a unique restructuring program to the final phase recreating a completely new identity. This phase had traditionally been focussed on the years between natural retirement and spiritual redeployment.

In recent times it has become very obvious that unless we are of the millionaire status the terminating cash won’t pay the bills for as long as necessary whilst maintaining an appropriate standard of living. Budgetary planning has been greatly challenged by dramatic increase in the length of a life requiring food and shelter as well as the usual collection of needs.

Out of necessity this group has been contributing substantially to the business arena originally dominated by the plans and practices of the younger groups.

Traditionally allocated time of the final phase has now been crammed with a multitude of major personal business experiences and experiments that have worked toward eliminating previous traits defining the season. Computer knowledge is often extended rather than left at the workplace. A huge amount of interest has been generated, particularly with the dynamic life of the era. Baby boomer career change has hit the community with stories of success, victory and discovery most days in most papers. A new attitude of learning and sharing information is moving through this exciting community at a fast rate.

Baby boomer career change has remembered and revitalized the traditional characterisics of youth through the experiences of growing, learning, experimenting and discovery. Previous youth traits of disobedience, challenge, questioning, and at times rebellion are at times necessary but that special gift of mature age wisdom now makes a complete difference to the outcome.

Middle years was traditionally noted for the season of responsibility, earning, consolidation, development and expansion. These experiences are now often interrupted with bouts of uncertainty, fast change, failure and disappointment.

Jobs had previously been held for numerous years with appropriate upgrade according to skill level and company growth. The workplace for many now is being finalized with a termination package or a short contract expecting a full time task to be completed in a twenty hour week. Only a few have the wealth to move into the following uncertain phase with an asset structure applicable to the desired standard of living.

The baby boomer career change has orchestrated a multitude of business ventures and creative ideas that have brought a total turnaround of long term established meanings and roles attached to this previously predictable phase. The full-time, permanent, knowledgeable and friendly middle aged rate-payer’s clerk has been replaced with a face that changes every 3months depending on the morning temperatures.

A baby boomer in a career change still has new ground to cover within the next forty years but after the restructuring of the original plan will hardly be inclined to spend hours learning to knit in a rocking chair. A bold few who learnt to knit fifty years ago are now selling unique, warm woollen jumpers on the internet to school groups taking end of year bus trips to the snow. This wisdom is not being wasted but it has been restructured
